Today saw us make the short trip to Milltownpass to face Rahanine. From the start it was obvious that Rahanine had improved from our earlier fixture in the league. Chance were hard to by against a well organised Rahanine defence on a very tight pitch but we finally got the break through when Alfie Armstrong cut in from the left and finished well from a tight angle. We could have doubled the lead shortly after wards but Robert O Connor seen his header come back off the cross bar. Rahanine came into the game and had a effort cleared off the line by Luke Delaney after a fine save from Kon Geraghty. Raharney started the second half well but it was Rahanine who created the best of the early chances but Kon was up to the challenge in goal. Raharney finally got their second when Alfie again cut in from the left and finished well from the edge of the box.
The lads were passing the ball well and it was Alfie again who finished off a fine passing move to make it 3 0 Raharney could have extended their lead but Robert saw his late efforts saved by the keeper and come back off the post. It finished 3 0 to Raharney.
Man of the Match today goes to our hatrick hero Alfie Armstrong. Well done Alfie.
