Club History
Raharney Utd was established in 2003 with the aim to provide football coaching and facilities for the community within the Killucan/Raharney area. Initially the club was based in Raharney National School but as numbers grew the decision was made to seek out a permanent home. The club was established as a schoolboy’s football club but within a few years we noticed a demand for a senior team in our part of the county. While better known for Gaelic Football and Hurling there are a large number of players and supporters that are passionate about the game in our community and membership has grown year on year to the point where we had a senior men’s team, a senior women’s team and 5 schoolboy/girls teams in the season gone by. We also have an academy running in the club as well. Our senior teams compete in the Combined Counties Football League (CCFL) and the kids have entered the Midland Schoolboy League (MSL) for the last few years. The senior ladies team play soccer during the summer season and they compete in the Kildare League. For the 2018/2019 season there was approximately 145 playing members of the club.
