Rahareny united 2 v Omp 1

This morning we saw Omp travel to higginstown. Omp have been in great form coming into this game and looking to try push for promotion however our lads have also been in great form coming into this game so it was always going to be a tight game. From the out set Raharney took the game to Omp and got the break through on the 38 minute when a fantastic through ball sent eoghan Brady through on goal to smash past the Omp keeper a well deserved lead at half time. Second half started like the first and soon after the break eryk Fecowicz won the ball in midfield played it to Quin o Grady who flicked it over the top to eryk who carried on his run to knock home 2-0 well deserved Omp showed then why they are fighting for the promotion and the impressive striker Alan cosgrove smashed home to make it 2-1 from then on it was end to end a real fight from both teams. But it was the Raharney lads who had the better chances but could not get the third in the late stages Omp came back at us again however the defence led by captain Jamie Greville was immense and held on to the win tough one for man of the match as we had so many top performers from Konrad in goal to eryk up front. But one man just stood out that bit more conor darcy was incredible every single tackle and single header he won everything. We go again next week as we look to finish the season strong ⚽️⚽️
