U11 Raharney United vs Oldcastle Whites

Yesterday, our U11 team played their first game of the season.  After growing together through our Academy system,  this would be their first game in competitive action. 

And a cracking game it was.  Both sides got stuck in from the first whistle,  with some fine displays of running football,  complimented by good passing moves and individual solo work.  With Eric holding the fort between the sticks,  and TJ and Noah completing the defensive line, Raharney looked to keep it solid at the back, while moving the ball through to our midfield trio of Ethan, Finn and Jack. In turn, they would then feed Joshua and Luke up front. 

In a very tight game,  the lads did themselves proud with a high workrate, supporting each other up and down the pitch,  laying a good foundation for the rest of the season. And while there was some nerves before their first game,  that disappeared quickly and the smiles for the team throughout the game was great to see. 

We thank Oldcastle for a great game,  and wish them well for the rest of the season.
