Raharney United Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct

Every Person has a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game of football especially Parents or

Guardians. They have a very significant influence on their children's enjoyment and success in football. Children love to

play because it is FUN. Childrens football is the time for them to make friends with their teammates, develop and learn

to play the game. Of course we want them to win but not at all costs. Play your part by supporting your child,

supporting the FAI’s Player Development Plan and observe the Code of Conduct at all times.

As a Parent/Guardian of a child playing for Raharney United I will:

● Remember that children play for FUN and enjoyment of the game

● Applaud effort and fair play

● Always respect the match officials decisions

● Remain outside the field of play and within the Designated Supporters Areas during training/matches

● Let the coach’s do their job and not confuse the players by telling them what to do

● Encourage your child and others and praise their efforts and performance and not the results

● Always encourage the players to respect their opposition, the referee and the match officials

● Never criticise a player for making a mistake - these are all part of learning the game

● Never tolerate offensive insulting or abusive language or behaviour

● Always support the coach’s decisions and discuss any concerns directly with them

● Develop an appropriate supportive relationship with both the coach and my child based on mutual respect and

trust

I understand that if I do not follow the Code of Conduct, action may be taken by my club Raharney United, the league

in which we play in or the FAI.
